Celebrity life
You probably know already that London is a nucleus of celebrity life. It is so true! It is a wonderful city and many come here once and stay forever.
Even if they don’t want to, they have to come though since nobody wants to miss their own premiere in Leicester square!! There is one weekly on average. I personally didn’t attend many just Quantum of Solace and Sex and the City. The opportunity to meet celebrities is vast though. And it usually happens out of the blue.
One time I was walking through Harrods evening dresses’ section and saw Katie Price a.k.a. Jordon walking through. I was very shocked to see her, but on the second thought – why should I be shocked? It is a ‘decent’ shop for celebrities to shop in, isn’t it? Well what can I say about her? She does give off an impression of being pretty tall wearing those high heels in glossy magazines, doesn’t she? But actually she is tiny – both size and height (no more than 1.60m definitely) But the thing I must mention is that she really stood out – she was wearing humongous hair rollers – so even if I wanted to, I could not miss her.
In Harrods again, I saw Posh’s car, however I didn’t stay there for long to see the princess coming of the shop herself, but still I thought it was pretty cool.
I went out for a dinner one night. As I was walking towards Leicester Square I saw Jim Carey on top of the double-decker waving and all smiles, looking his crazy self – people were taking pictures of him, maniacally. I reckon he was promoting his new film – ‘Yes Man’ (as there was a huge poster of this movie on the bus – great deduction technique, don’t even mention it ;). But the whole incident was fantastic because I didn’t expect it at all and also because there was so much emotion and chaos around this one bus!
Once I saw Kim Cattrall, the ultimate goddess in Sex and The City series/movie, shopping on King’s road. She is very very petite compared to the way you imagine her since she is on high hills all the time when she is filming. I was trembling with excitement as I am such a big fan of these series and movie and especially her character.
Well, all this ‘celebrity encounters’ occurred just in the last couple of months.
